Château le Conte is the great wine of the eponymous estate, a small property, a confidential gem. This grand cru is a single varietal 100% Merlot, from the vines bordering the estate building. From a state of near abandonment during the takeover, we restructured the estate to allow us to make wines which reflect the appellation, elegant and classy, by adding our touch of freshness. Our Merlots are harvested at dusk in order to maintain tension, we seek the right maturity of our grapes to ensure an elegant wine, as we aim for the finesse and not opulence of this grape variety.

Each year, Château le Conte takes on a new label, because each vintage is unique, we give a new identity to this wine.
